My name is Maya Asadova and I am a film producer, director and a scriptwriter. Being born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and growing up in different countries made me witness a lot of beautiful and horrible things in life. I’ve met different people in my life and each has touched my heart and left their imprint on it. When I write my scripts, I channel those people. When I’m on a production set, I try to channel the vibe and the feeling I felt when in those places with the people that inspired me. My logo might look simple and basic, as it is just a clapboard. However, this painting is my own. On women’s day 2022, I was given this bag at a “women empowerment” event and was asked to paint my dreams. Making movies has always been my dream, so I drew it.
